He started singing at the age of nine years. His first performance was in primary school, singing The National Anthem.Once his potential was recognized, he represented his school at the Youth Festival which was held at State level and won the 1st position. Achal later performed at many different competitions and won many prizes and laurels. |
In the year 2010 Achal Mehta completed a journey of 31 years in the field of rass garba and sugam sangeet.

Achal Mehta gave a continental ghazal album in 2007 named ‘SAMANDAR’ expressing deep emotions of the soul. Seven beautiful heart touching ghazals written by Kaisar ul zafri sahib, Ahmad faraz, saheb and Hassan naim saheb were conceived, composed and sung by Achal Mehta himself and music is given by Kaushik Mistry, Music director of Rishabh Group. |
